Employment Type:  Part Time

Experience Required:  Minimum 2-3 years of professional massage therapy experience

Emerald Therapeutics is a compassionate, client-focused practice dedicated to improving the physical and, in turn, emotional well-being of our clients by utilizing Therapeutic and Orthopedic Massage, Corrective Exercise and Flexibility & Stretching sessions.  Located in Scituate Harbor, Emerald Therapeutics provides a relaxing environment where stress relief, healing and respect for both clients and staff is paramount.  

Position Overview

Emerald Therapeutics is seeking an experienced and reliable Massage Therapist to join the practice.  The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both therapeutic and relaxation techniques, excellent communication skills and a passion for helping clients improve their overall wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality massage therapy sessions tailored to each client’s individual needs and preferences

  • Maintain a clean, safe and professional treatment environment

  • Perform intake assessments and document all client sessions accurately

  • Recommend appropriate follow-up treatments and self-care techniques

  • Uphold professional boundaries and maintain client confidentiality

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively to achieve shared goals

  • Ensure compliance with Massachusetts licensing laws and health/sanitation regulations

Qualifications

  • Massage Therapy License in Massachusetts that is active and in good standing

  • 2-3 years of professional massage therapy experience (clinical or wellness setting preferred, but not required)

  • Strong knowledge of anatomy & physiology

  • Proficient in multiple modalities (e.g. Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial, etc.)

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Dependable, professional and passionate about holistic care

  • Professional Liability Insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 aggregate, as required by the MA Massage Therapy Licensing Board 

  • Current CPR certification, as required by the MA Massage Therapy Licensing Board
